Black Duck Software's Transact is a hosted solution running 24x7x365 on Black Duck Software's server grid enabling fast and accurate due diligence without the need for installing software. It contains the same functionality as Black Duck's flagship Protex software compliance management system using the same Knowledgebase containing “code prints” of hundreds of thousands of open source software components and information on over 1,400 software licenses. After registering and downloading the SaaS client you can then use Transact to scan your code for open source or third party software, assist in determining their origin and vet their associated licenses.
Transact is the perfect way to quickly vet software assets prior to a software acquisition, before delivery or acceptance of an outsourced solution or prior to a Merger & Acquisition.
